The days and weeks after your baby’s birth can be completely overwhelming, whether you’re a new or experienced mother. You may find yourself struggling to balance caring for your new baby and caring for yourself, not to mention your family. But you don’t have to do everything on your own – postpartum care allows you to get the rest and support you need after the very hard work of delivering your baby!
I offer individualized care, compassion, understanding and valuable education to parents of newborns, helping you make a smooth transition into parenthood. The most common feedback I get is that having me in the home provides a sense of calm and ease that helps new parents relax into their new role.
Families use my services anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, for a few days or several days a week, and for 4 to 8 hours a day. More time may be needed for families having multiples, as their needs may be greater. Each family is unique and together we will create a schedule to suit your specific needs. I offer day, evening, or overnight help, as well as weekends and travel.
I provide information and support on breast and/or bottle-feeding, breast-pumps and bottle preparation; basic newborn care like first baths, nail trimming, swaddling, feeding, burping, diaper changing, soothing techniques, sleep routines, and infant massage; help with household tasks such as grocery shopping, meal preparation, and baby’s laundry. I can also accompany you to pediatrician’s appointments or run errands so you don’t have to.
Please contact me for a complimentary in-home consultation. I am experienced with single babies, twins and triplets.
